fridge, this is the product you are looking for. If you're looking for a safer knife for a job that involves a lot of cutting through cardboard, paper and tape, this probably isn't for you. I ordered this in June 2019 and have not used this model. For most of these (see sitting unused in the box for about a month) I managed to break the button you press to move the blade in and out of the Slice™ Mini Case Cutter. It attaches to the slide mechanism with two extremely small plastic hooks and I've been using it as a regular cutting tool for the past 3 weeks. Put the blade away and while the blade hasn't "dulled" since you've used it, it always feels like it's a steel blade that has been in use for a week or two and is only getting duller. TL; DR: OK, if you want to open a random chest, stick with the cheap "dangerous" utility knives if you plan on using them a lot.
