I was looking for a horizontal belt clip with decent design that could hold my LG G4. This is a cell phone case. My bare G4 fits in easily, but I don't have a bare G4. I have a regular rubberized protective case that increases the phone's thickness to 11/16 inches and the length to 6 inches. For the first week or two the phone was very tight, especially along the length. After about 2 weeks, the case has stretched so that the phone is now firmly in place and slides in and out much more easily. Material - high quality leather with dense stitching. The belt clip is the best I've found, riveted to a sturdy leather case. I can put it on and take it off with little effort. The clip itself is designed in such a way that accidental detachment from the belt is almost impossible. It is very securely attached to the case with rivets and I doubt it would have come loose unless the case itself had been destroyed or the clip had been forcefully ripped from my belt. My forward movement was already halted when I wasn't paying attention and the cover caught on something. No damage to housing or terminal. The clip fits belts up to 2 3/16 wide. On smaller straps, the case slips over the strap, but I found that to be an advantage. When driving, you want your body to be in a different position than when you're walking and in a different position when you're sitting at tables. It's very easy to move it. On my old suitcases with spring clips and hinges, the hinges would stretch or break from the constant stress of carrying and moving the suitcase. Spring clips have repeatedly failed over time because the clip has lost its elasticity. It's bad when you bend over and the phone case slides down next to you. That is, if you even noticed it slipped off. The flap closes with Velcro, no magnetic closure. For me this was a plus as my phone and case were outside of the case and the magnetic clasp would not close or stay closed. Thanks to the Velcro, I can attach the flap the way I want it. On my next phone I will test Nite Ize products first.
