I bought this because I was upgrading the SSD in my new laptop and needed an enclosure that supports the 2230 format of the old drive (it's the smallest SSD I've seen ). Most cases I've looked at can't handle drives that small. The last case I ordered reported that the small drive was dead in the water when I received it - the unit was recognized but there was no drive in the case. The reason I only gave this unit 4 stars was the difficulty installing the disc. . Although everything was included (including a spare retaining screw), opening the device was difficult. The very small screws came loose with the included screwdriver, but the cover, which had to be removed to slide the unit out and install the drive, was stuck and required some force to remove. A locking bolt needs to be installed. I use a small "olive picker" tool that I've used for years to hold the machine screw in place so it threads into the thread. Without this tool, the installation would have been much more difficult for me. The drive contains two cables, A to A and A to C. Both worked on my laptop (it has both types of USB ports), but Windows 10 got confused after trying the Safely Remove feature with cables A to C had used, which I had to restart to clear this up. All in all the drive does what it's supposed to do, handles the 2230 drive I need and my tests showed a throughput of 265Mbps which I'm very happy with. Yes I would buy it again for one purpose (installation and use). The disk installation process is too complicated to use to replace disks for testing purposes.
