I read some reviews about it not sticking well. This also requires a clean, smooth surface. If it's not clean and smooth, forget it. I sanded my vibration damper and then painted it with a metal primer before gluing the timing tape on. The best thing about this MSD tape is that you have an accurate scale based on your shock diameter. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND using a piston stop at TDC to determine the EXACT and true TDC position. Stock marked shock absorbers are notoriously inaccurate. The marker can drift over time which can cause you to start at the wrong time which is BAD for your engine.
