Review on AUSTOR Double Prototype Connector: Efficient and Reliable Solution for Enhanced Connectivity by Blake Mannasseh

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great starter kit, good quality, endless possibilities!

I really liked that this kit not only includes blank circuit boards, but also quite a few Dupont pins that can be easily cut to the desired number of contacts and their placement! i like to automate things and work well with arduino and with it i can make my own touch screens very easily, basically i now use my own little circuit boards to replace the soldered and shrinking mess of disorganized wiring! This kit comes in a lovely little clear container which is not only refillable but so full when you receive it I had a hard time snapping it shut! Well! It's hard to think of anything bad to say about this set, especially for so much money. Still got an excellent 5 star rating without question, but I'd happily pay a bit more if the kit required soldering the pins to the pins on opposite ends of the boards anyway. The largest boards in the kit are a decent 24 x 17 holes. and can fit in the palm of my hand, but the variety of widths and lengths is very useful for different projects and/or prototypes! Obviously you will need some soldering practice and this is great practice for your skills! A soldering iron or soldering iron, some good tips, a good way to clean the tin and keep the tips clean, and common sense are essential to simplifying your projects with a minimum of fuss. Last, and many say it's not necessary if you're using certain rosin solders, but a good flux is a must for me. You can just use a cheap jar of this to clean the soldering tips and I also recently bought a liquid flux pen from Revain which is similar to a marker but clear and it works very well. All in all, if you're looking to get started prototyping or just need a few extra pins or something like that, you can't go wrong with this kit!
