We bought two of these last summer to take our kids on a long trip with Fire tablets. We used to have problems with tablets because they would touch the screen and keep stopping playback. Thought this would be the solution and they were! Both held up well and performed as we thought. The only issue we had was that the kids had wired headphones plugged into their tablets, so they sometimes tugged on the cable and knocked the tablet out. I don't think this is a design flaw. Children are just children. After the "parents" "learned" "trained" the holders worked fine and we had no more problems!
