This is the second time I've bought a laptop stand of this design. The first is aluminum, the second is black. Safe and easy installation: screw all the way in, place a laptop/heavy book on top and tighten all the way. It sits flat with no load, unlike my first one, but with a little weight on top it's fine. The beveled corner greatly improves ergonomics compared to a flat table top. I would say a 15.6-16 inch screen is the max for this stand. It reads 11-17.3 but a 17 inch laptop sits a little more than I do. better side and back. Maybe if you have one of those thinner 17-inch models. One wish is that the protectors are colour-coordinated (i.e. black stand, black protectors). In addition, it is cheap and functional. lots of extras, works with no fuss If your screws are loosening, add some blue threadlocker.
