I have had other Op/Tech items and overall I like this brand. One aspect that initially puts me off Op/Tech equipment upon receipt is the very strong chemical smell from the neoprene elements of the items. The smell is quite overpowering at first and reminds me of motor oil. I always wash or rinse the neoprene right away and let it air out in a well-ventilated place for a few days. So much better! After 2-3 weeks, the smell will disappear and no longer matter. I've found this odor issue to exist with other neoprene brands too so it's not just limited to op/tech - I guess it's just the nature of the beast!
