This is the best kennel you can buy to fly your 30 to 50 pound dog. There may be others that are good too, but I have seen several nurseries fail and this is not one of them. As an airport biologist and dog owner, I would highly recommend this kennel. I use it regularly to transport raptors from our airport (many of them are over 7 years old!) and now I have one for my 33lb Welsh Corgis. It's durable and safe. There is no handle at the top to mislead the ground operators as to improperly transporting this kennel; Instead, handles are located on the sides, well spaced for safe lifting and transport by two people. There are additional holes in the 4 corners of the 2 cabinets and holes in the top and bottom of the interlocking door that can be used with zip ties for extra security. Zippers help deter benefactors from opening the front door and letting the pet escape (yes, that happens). My kennel came with a flight kit (bowl, sticker, absorbent pad, etc.) that meets the basic requirements of most airlines. I added extra LIVE ANIMAL decals, zip ties and a waterproof water tray. I'm sure if someone accidentally drops my dog's kennel, it won't get out. Make sure that all screws are tight and that you have zip ties in place before dropping off your pet at the ticket office.
