The freedom it grants is also its greatest weakness. My previous phone was a Sony XZ2. Battery life was improved by a factor of 1.5 while still lasting for 1.5-2 days. Sony either has superior software or Samsung is just making claims without providing evidence. For the price, this phone is terrible; I should have gone with Oppo or Vivo instead and spared myself some cash and stress. A few benefits: Big display, low weight, strong performance, fluid 120 Hz refresh rate, many cameras with a sensitive matrix, and sharp images. The disadvantages are as follows. As the temperature rises, the pocket feels like it's being fried in a frying pan. This is especially true in the summer. The degree to which I am able to act independently is really low; on days when I did not have to answer the phone, I only worked for around 18 hours. The battery life indicator is completely inaccurate, showing as little as 70-50% charge all day before completely draining in two hours. In case anyone argues that background apps do indeed function, let me be clear: your phone is "bare," with no additional apps beyond the ones that came with it.
