Review on Black Adjustable Shoe Mount Bracket for Speedlites - Westcott 5015 by Tom Goodlow

Revainrating 4 out of 5

FEAR! NOT WHAT IS IN THE PICTURE WILL ARRIVE! (but works fine).

Westcott 5015 Bracket IS what you get and it is a VERY GOOD, DURABLE/LIGHTWEIGHT PRODUCT and I HAVE TWO AND PLAN TO ORDER MORE. But the upper is NOT the one-piece cold shoe shown. What matters has an adjustable "thumb clip" at the base of your flash top, similar to CowboystudioUmbrella's pan/tilt mount for Nikon and Canon 430EX E580EX SB600 SB800 SB900. You don't glue the flash INSIDE, but secure it on the side with a thumb clip. PICTURE SHOWN for Westcott 5015 allows for secure attachment of Canon 430 or 580 or Pocket Wizard as they should. but it is NOT the cold shoe that sits on top of the 5015 brace (comment dated 03/04/2014. I've upped the rating to 4 stars because after using this top clip for a while I'll say it's reliable and easy to This is because the metal is strong and the workmanship is well done It does NOT short out the pins like similar cold shoe clips that require the electrician to isolate with tape It attaches nicely to any standard lighting stand but I'm keeping it a Brass Female Adapter-to-Female Universal 1/4" and 3/8" Tripod Thread Adapter for Light Stand Compatible with mount in it and can use ANY tripod as a light stand in a pinch. I would give it 5 stars!
