I love this. As I've never worn one that comes up so high on your torso, I didn't know what to expect. When I opened it and saw that it had serious, thick elastic around the high waistband, I was a bit nervous. I expected it to be so tight it would be hard to breathe.I was so wrong.Because I'm short and short-waisted, it comes up to about an inch below my bra, which appears to be a little higher than what you see in the picture.It was easy to pull on, even over my belly.While it's definitely form fitting, it's not uncomfortable. As a matter of fact, I forget about it until I go to the restroom. It's soft and stretchy, but still has that hold. It's not a miracle worker. My belly isn't going away soon without exercise, some surgical intervention, and prayers. However, it redistributes all the fat so I don't look like I'm about to deliver a set of twins in the next few days.it washes well. I wash in the washing machine and lay it flat to dry it. I already sort all my as I pull them from the washing machine, since only a few (like jeans and towels) make it to the dryer. I already hang the majority of my clothes and I already lay flat on top of the my bras and sweaters, so it's no more an inconvenience to add this to that stack than if I didn't have these types of underwear.I selected a large as I'm overweight. Although I'm short, the fit is as described, other than coming up slightly higher on my torso than pictured. It's not their fault I'm short and fat.
