How is it suitable for a cat?

I saw that most of the reviews were for dogs so I wasn't sure if this coat would be suitable for a cat. My cat loves being outside but seems to get a runny nose after longer walks on these cold days, so I wanted something that would complement her natural coat and allow her to do her own thing in the garden a little longer. . (I would categorically NOT put it on a cat leaving your property and when you were away and couldn't keep an eye on things. The cat could sneak into an odd position in the fur and it could pose a hazard!) Bought one XS She is not a small or large cat (this size XS is not suitable for a small cat, and a larger cat will likely need an S) but more of a medium-sized, long-haired adult cat. The coat fits her quite well, but due to her longer hair, it's sometimes a bit difficult to look for closures - however, that's not the coat's design flaw. I found that I had to adjust the Velcro on the choker so it wasn't too loose (and certainly not too tight!) or she would end up doing a Houdini move and be able to have her coat fall over leave without tearing the clasp! To be honest she really doesn't like fur at this point (day 2) - she's a cat and it looks very unnatural (if you have a cat you know what I mean). She usually digs away with it for a while trying to figure out a way to get rid of it! I've done short sessions of 5-10 minutes with her so she doesn't feel miserable once she gets used to it and that's also how I see that she's safe and okay. I don't want her paw stuck on her neck or anything while she's trying to free herself! But the second session a day later went better than the first day and I think she'll get used to it and I'll figure out how to set it up well enough. The coat itself appears to be very well made and very cute! She looks "sporty" in her jacket like she's ready for the slopes! It won't keep them from going about their business - plenty of room to get around everything but still enough back coverage for warmth. The coat is also adjustable with two-tier buttons around the body and velcro at the neck that you can adjust. The fur covers it well, but the front armholes feel a bit uncomfortable for the cat when they touch her body (the holes seem to be set too low and should ideally open a little higher). I might need to take care of that - it's making her gait a little uneven. I think the cat's body is shaped slightly differently than the dog's body in these areas, even if they are about the same size. But it seems doable and I can't fault a little coat that's really designed for dogs. I roll the neck down because if I don't it rests uncomfortably on her head, but if I roll it up it works great. I love the lining of the jacket which can be added or removed depending on the amount of warmth you want. She might be too tight to put on eyeliner (sometimes with her long hair it's hard to tell if there's enough room). What I like about it is that it's pretty easy to put them on with little trauma. I didn't pull some things over my head with sleeves, like a coat. You put your right paw in the armhole while the jacket is on the ground, then slide it over your body and the velcro to make it fit. She doesn't seem too thrilled about this, considering that dressing a cat in clothes can come as a huge shock! I really appreciate wool, especially for a dog! I was impressed with the construction and the fun details. It even has two small fake zip pockets on the back that make it look like a casual jacket. Looks easy to clean. I highly recommend it! But measure your fur man carefully because fit really matters!
