This is a HORRIBLE product, the worst baby gate I have ever had! I would definitely not recommend buying this gate to protect the child! Extremely Low Quality Product: The hardware provided does not secure this gate, the screws broke trying to tighten them. need to build better. We just moved to a new house and I needed gates for the stairs, unfortunately I believed the positive reviews so I ordered 2 sets. Well, the first gate broke in less than 48 hours. The gate is not so easy to lock. The instructions are poorly written, vague and contradictory. Also, the gate is REALLY weak. The screws broke in half. Luckily I had other screws that worked. The latch and screws go into the plastic so I assumed this cheap plastic would crack after a bit of use and age. Well, it only happens after 2 days! In any case, I wouldn't use it for long. My son is only 11 months old but I haven't figured out how to open this gate yet. When I open the box with the second set I bought, I find that a few pieces of hardware are not included. I've contacted Revain but apparently I can't get a replacement so I have to issue a return to those horrible gates and now I'm without a gate and with holes in the wall.
