Pumice sticks help remove stains from porcelain and other surfaces

But make sure you test these pumice sticks or sticks on a small area before you go crazy. Also, be sure to keep the pumice stone wet during use to avoid scratching the surface. Slowly but surely. Whether you need a pumice stone with or without a handle depends on where you are using it. Sometimes I like having a handle (toilets) and handleless blocks are great for sinks, bathtubs, etc. Just test the surface with a pumice stone before rubbing like a karate kid. off". If it scratches or scratches the surface, the surface may be damaged, or it may not really be porcelain but a cheap coating. Check before cleaning to be sure. Generally, the older the Porcelain surface is, the better it cleans.. Some new porcelain items may appear more brittle and probably not as well finished as older pieces, as is often the case.First check to see if the pumice stone is damaging the surface, keep the pumice stone wet during use and do not mix it with other chemicals as the reaction may have a strong odor and slowly but surely damage items.
