This is my first adventure with a safety razor. I'm happy so far, but it's been a learning process. However, this shaver is better than I expected, especially for the price. A few brief moments. First its weight. This is a heavy razor, especially the head. I used a weighted handle on a Mach 3 razor, but it's noticeably heavier. Now I put my fingers in the groove of the handle that is very close to the head. Second, its edge. It has very smooth settings. I started with one and upgraded to 2.5 (out of 6). Now everything seems to be ok. Third, his pen. It has a smooth grip, but that wasn't a problem even with wet fingers. By putting my fingers in the groove as if using a pencil, I get enough leverage over the razor to control it. Finally, learn how to shave with a safety razor in general. I had to slow down and shave my face twice, once down and once up. Also, I needed the razor to glide over my skin and not let me down. Here it is important to hear the razor cutting my beard and not just to feel the shaved face behind me. I finally realized the importance of changing blades often. It's after my third shave for me.
