Shiatsu Back shoulder & Neck Massager With Heat - Deep Tissue 3D Kneading Pillow MassagerThe massage you get from this is wonderful IF you like heavy deep massage - which I do- it works on lower back as well as neck and shoulders - and everywhere in between. The massage feels like someone who is using decent pressure on your tight muscles. It is quiet and nothing like the vibrating massage most massagers use. It is relaxing and serious. If you are delicate or cannot take hard pressure from someone massaging your shoulders this is most likely not for you. The heat is also nice but using the unit for more than 15 minutes at a time it gets a bit too warm but you can use with or without heat. The long cord allows you to plug into a wall socket and leave it there, the unit actually has a short cord coming from the 'sleeve' that hooks into the cord via a barrel jack (similar to a headphone jack). The only real downside I see is the controls are in the right sleeve which is great until you try to reach them easily while still all situated - maybe my arms are short but I do find it a bit difficult to keep my left arm in the sleeve and still reach around to the right sleeve to use the controls - (Maybe they could have made them adjustable?) That being said, I do wish the time for massage was controllable - it is good for 15 minutes at a time which then you must turn it back on, would be nice if you could choose say 15 minutes or 30 - maybe the unit needs time to rest? IDK - also the other thing I would change is for the direction of the massage to remain the same without auto changing every 60 seconds. there must be a reason for it but I would prefer to have a choice to use - all outward massage - all inward massage or multi directional as it is set for. All in all this is most definitely a wonderful massage unit for those with sore muscles - the best I have ever used ! - this in my opinion is for those who want deep serious massage and not necessarily for those who just want a little back rub. The unit itself is bigger than I thought and a bit cumbersome - it has a nice carry case but not all that easy to keep putting back in the case if you use this daily . You can NOT lay on this. You sit comfortably in a chair and use it. The arm 'sleeves' are a very soft leather like feel - as I said before I just wish they were adjustable in length.- in closing, buy it if you need deep massage to your back, shoulders and neck . 5 stars
