Review on 🦷 Marvis Toothpaste Squeezer and Dispenser by Anna Fetzner

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Works well but no better than the cheap plastic versions

I've been using an inexpensive plastic toothpaste squeezer with Marvis toothpaste for a while and thought I'd "upgrade" when I did bought them alone when the plastic finally gave up. While it's definitely heavier and stronger (and better looking), it's also less comfortable to use.1. The hose operation is more cumbersome and slower than a plastic juicer. The metal pin needs to fit the end of the tube *just right* for it to even work. The first few times I replaced the hose it took me a few tries to get it right - a very annoying thing before coffee or when I'm tired and want to go to bed. Now after my fifth tube I think I figured it out, but the learning curve was a nuisance after the plain plastic thing.2. The shape does not allow the remains of the toothpaste to be squeezed out. The top opening is slanted, which means the toothpaste doesn't actually squeeze out when you reach the end of the tube. I end up taking out the tube and squeezing it out the old fashioned way for the last few days, which makes me wonder why I bought the juicer.3. He's really big. The pen sticks out quite a bit so it only fits in a first-aid kit one way - and it takes up a decent amount of space. In my crowded first aid kit, I liked that the plastic juicer was only slightly larger than the width of the tube, allowing me to really make the most of the space. I'm also unlikely to take this hippopotamus on a trip, especially since porcelain can break.4. Removing the old tube is not easy. Once you have fully wound the hose, the quickest way to remove the hose is to pull the metal pin out all the way. Unfortunately, this means you have to put the stylus back in and fiddle with it to get it in properly. I wish I had bought this juicer and regret not returning it before the return window closed. I cannot recommend it without very strong reservations.
