I bought these for my little girl so she can have a nice pair of hiking shoes like her mother. The velcro closure is great for kids, she can put them on herself and doesn't need any help! She wore them for about 3 hours last week on a tough hike and felt great, no discomfort, no red spots or pinched toes, her feet stayed dry despite jumping in a puddle of water along the way. I am pleased that the shoes are well made, good quality and function as expected. Merrell is probably my favorite brand when it comes to hiking shoes and I was dying to give my child something that I knew would support and support their growing feet while communicating with nature.
