Barn doors help direct the light so the light doesn't scatter in other directions. The dimming function really appealed to me about the lamp. The diffuser helps soften the light on my subjects. It's great to have controls that show power level and color temperature. I can photograph the numbers on the back and recreate them later at any time. The remote control is very convenient and can control multiple lights from one remote control. I can also set and change the color temperature using the remote control. I'm starting to make YouTube videos for others and I wanted to buy lamps that are easy to carry. I didn't want anything with a big light modifier. I wanted something to put in my backpack when I go to the place. This light is perfect. I only bought one but will be buying two more. One for my main light, hair light and another to lighten the background.
