All the clasps work for me, the metal and the chain look good. The cords look good and fall nicely. All my ends are trimmed well to match the ends. What bothers me is the chemical smell. I let them off the gas in a big open space. Individually they don't smell of anything, but together there's still a chemical smell, probably from a paint or coating. They don't smell like your hands, so I hope that goes away. Mine are very easy to close with needle nose pliers. Simply pinch the end of the cable slightly to clip it onto the cable.
