I've been looking for a specific green blanket for a long time and finally found it! Firstly, this shade of green isn't for everyone, but I have handmade yellow pine bedroom furniture that has faded from light blue to yellow-green over time. While I love aged colors I had trouble finding the right green blanket but this one is perfect! Second, the trout design makes sense given that you're married to a fisherman, and while subtle, keeps the quilt from getting boring. The weight is perfect for us and I love the contrast fabric trim and lining. As for softness, I gave it a three because it's new and not fully broken in, although it can get softer with successive washes. Softness is not an important issue for me in this case as I never wear it on bare skin; I have very soft blankets for that. As for the price, I was very happy to have it on sale and for less than half the price. I am very happy with everything about this purchase.
