Janome doesn't seem to have this foot so I bought it for my Janome 6300. It fits and you can use it, but be careful. VERY carefully as this foot requires you to read the instructions. Brother machines sometimes have left needle lift and this foot is made for that. Make sure you move the needle all the way to the left to use this foot. When you do this, you can sew with either a straight stitch or a zigzag stitch, as long as you try very carefully first to make sure your stitch width isn't actually moving the needle to hit the foot. Be gentle and check your width and then everything will be fine.
