Great performance for the price

This watch sits at the top of the budget fitness/smartwatch category, offering unbeatable performance at an extremely affordable price. Let's fix the flaws. First. Of course, there are things the watch can't do: there's no built-in storage for music, you can't make or take calls, and there's no advanced Firstbeat fitness metrics like VO2 max. It would be nice to have more watchface options, too . But for its price ($99-$119) you get excellent battery life - since my last charge 5 days ago I'm currently at 76%, with continuous heart rate enabled and a few GPS workouts done. So the declared battery for 20 days is genuine. It doesn't matter much to some people, but I was recently on a 4 day business trip where I forgot my Apple Watch charger. After I turned on the power reserve and lost all functions except the time, it still died after 3 days. Luckily I also took the Verge Lite with me. It's such a nice feeling to put it on and see 92% battery in 3 days! The AMOLED screen is bright and easy to read in any environment. The operating system is quick and fast despite not having a lot of memory. No lags or missed swipes were found on this watch. The GPS snaps on quickly and compared to my other devices it's within 0.04 miles when I run 3 miles. That's enough for me! The sleep tracking works well for me - total sleep time compares well with other devices, although there's no detailed breakdown for REM sleep. I love the 7-day weather report - much more detailed than my Apple or Garmin devices give me on my wrist. I love wearing it and prefer it to my more expensive devices (Apple Watch 3, Garmin 245 Music, Polar Ignite, Huawei GT) every day simply because it is easier to use. I can see anything I want quickly and easily, the watch is fun to interact with, and the accuracy of the GPS and heart rate data is on par with more expensive competitors. Adding onboard music storage would make this watch perfect for me. I tried the original Amazfit Verge, which offers this, but found the watch quirky, difficult to download music, and unreliable for getting call and message notifications. The Verge Lite has none of these issues, and the loss of music storage is an acceptable trade-off for me. What is the result? Amazfit has made a great product here. Obviously not for everyone as it is limited in some of its features. But for the price, it offers excellent performance and value.
