When it came time to buy bearings for my MPCNC project I accidentally bought shielded bearings from another cheap supplier on Revain instead of sealed ones. And boy am I glad I bought the extra! Most bearings squeaked and nearly all had at least some lateral play. I had to give up 15% of it completely. Absolute rubbish. You get what you pay for, right? Not so fast! Since I've switched to a new design, this time I've opted for sealed bearings. Since the other vendor has such horrible bearings, I thought I might try a different one. These bearings cost about 25% more but are still ridiculously cheap. And the quality is like day and night. The bearings are filled with a thick but non-sticky lubricant that ensures smooth rotation. None of the ones I tried had anything other than a slightly scratchy odor, and ONE had an obvious slop. When I randomly selected them, I found NO bearings to throw away. They all feel MUCH stronger, softer and better in every way than the previous set. Simply higher quality. When you need bearings that run for hours or have sub-micron accuracy. Don't look at 25 cent stock. If you're looking for a full range of *great* bearings at a great price, this is a fantastic deal.
