Works well but I doubt the quality

These filters looked like they were well priced and the reviews were very good. I took the first one out of the box, removed the plastic wrapping and found that the plastic coating on the filter was deteriorating (see picture). I've heated it with a hair dryer in case the plastic bag it came in sticks to it, but it won't budge. The scars in the photos are on the filter body itself. It came out of the box like this. However, it fits my Dyson V10 and seems to work well. I don't think the pre-filter material is as thick as the OEM version, but for the money it's hard to beat.
