Review on REDCAMP Ultralight Tent Footprint, 55-116x87-118 inches, PU 2000 Waterproof Camping Tent Tarp with Drawstring Carrying Bag for Ground Camping and Hiking by Shawn Reiter

Revainrating 3 out of 5

87 " x 95 " Short

The ultra light 87" x 95" tent just arrived and I decided to open it up. As part of the pre-trip inspection, I unrolled it and laid it out on the floor. First impressions are that it 'seems' very thin for use as a base for a tent in the wild. *think* nylon picnic tablecloth is flimsy. Came folded, in a small bag with strings. It was very light and I figured it could be rolled into the same package sizes. Once on the ground, I was visually satisfied that it would serve my tent (95" x 105"). For the sake of a smile, I decided to measure to make sure everything was lined up appropriately. I was surprised to find that 87 inches is actually 86 inches and 95 inches is actually 93.5 inches. So the real world dimensions were actually 86" x 94". While it's not a big deal and I have no plans to return, I'm a bit worried about the wrong sizes. Pros: - Ripstop nylon - Lightweight - Compact - Inexpensive Cons: - Actual dimensions are smaller than stated - Very thin material (durability issues)

Pros
  • MULTI-PURPOSE UNDER TENT SHEET: The tent bottom is perfect for tents, the beach, picnics, camping or sporting events. It can also be tied to provide protection from the sun or rain; A must have for any outdoor activity
Cons
  • No Automatic
