Perfect for its purpose

After a lot of research I recently bought three different switch cases. Each of them had their pros and cons and different goals, but each seemed to be the best in its category. I bought one of the many generic clear plastic cases (they are all very similar) for light home use, this is the ULTIMATE case, both durable and thick, for potentially dangerous or messy uses (like camping, travel, car trips, etc.) . ), and the Skull & Co case is a hybrid of these two extremes, which could potentially replace one or both of the others. I found the clear plastic case to be very brittle and fragile to the touch. I was afraid of breaking it in half when putting it on and taking it off, and that's why it took forever to take it off. I definitely wouldn't want to drop the switch on hard ground as long as it has a clear plastic case on it. So I will return it. The Skull & Co suitcase definitely seems to be the prettiest and looks the prettiest. The switch fits seamlessly into this case, so you'll forget it's even in the case and think that's how the switch came. Also, the fact that the switch can be docked while the case is on, and the L and R buttons are fully covered for full drop protection at all corners and to keep dust out of those slots made this a winner . But the FINITE case also served its purpose perfectly and was a robust outdoor travel case. If I was going camping, or maybe even going camping with a switch, I would set it to FINITE. I actually wouldn't want to put it in a Skull & Co case because that case looks TOO nice and I want it to look pristine and clean with no nicks or dents on the corners. The FINITE case is designed to get dirty, play outdoor games where dust and dirt can be scattered, and if the case falls, it will encounter a rough and potentially dirty surface. The FINITE case looks like it could take a hit and offers the best protection of the three, covering all the corners like the Skull & Co but with thicker, more resilient padding. Additionally, part of the case slides over the face of the switch to offer a little protection from scratches and also prevents more dust and dirt from getting between the case and the switch. And the stand's pull-out hole means I can put it on a table to play with friends in a pinch, although I'd recommend buying a dedicated Switch stand for that, like the Lamicall Multi-Angle Tablet Stand. But it is good to have this option just in case. In closing, I left Skull & Co for everyday use around the house and maybe small trips, but anytime I'm paranoid about where to flick the switch I'd definitely stick it in the FINITE case. And the transparent, brittle plastic casing was terrible in my opinion. If you're looking for something pretty and don't care about the worst-case scenarios, then get a clear, fragile case. If you're paranoid like me, prone to breaking and dropping things, or plan on using the Switch outdoors, get FINITE. If you're looking for a middle ground between the two, go for the skull. Or get a combination of the above.
