I live in Texas but I love to run. Unfortunately, my hair is so thin and my skin so pale that I haven't done anything to protect my scalp and face (because I'm sweating from sunscreen). This is the only hat I can wear and train with. It's very light, the long beak gives a lot of shade and I don't get as hot as other hats. At first my husband made fun of me for not being the most stylish stuff until we went in the pool and he got a tan through his light beanie ;)
