They are so long at the back

I've never had a pair of connectors that are so long at the back. This eventually causes them to look down, causing them to lie down in a very odd way. I swim between 11 and 12mm so I might try a smaller size but I'm in doubt at the moment. If the backs weren't so long and thin they would be perfect.
