Works as advertised.
The easiest way to preserve the memory of OBDII and other vehicle systems is to service the battery. I've used it on several cars now. I connected it to a 12V portable battery (60Ah AGM in a trolling motor battery case) that we use to power our telescopes and a smaller 12V lithium battery that is used for the same purpose . It worked great with both of them. Complaints about the length of the cable are unfounded as it is well represented in the description. If you don't have a portable 12V power source and want to connect it to another vehicle, you will need a longer cable.
