So far I like this Intank brand filter thread because it's easy to see what it's removing from the water and it's very easy, with scissors to cut in regardless of the size of your filter. My water clarity has improved since adding it to my aquarium. I am currently using it in my reef tank, a Fluval Evo 13.5 in an intank media basket on the top shelf. How long will it be before I need to replace a new part? I don't see any impact on my satisfaction with this thread as the portion I received was quite large and cheap to purchase. Update: I use this in my Evo's overflow and second camera on the top shelf (Intank Media Bin). ). The part in the overflow usually lasts about 3-4 days before it gets quite dirty and needs to be replaced as nitrates will build up if not cleaned (just like filter socks need to be changed in a traditional sump). The upper part of the intank wagon lasts 2 weeks. I tend to overfeed frequently and kick up detritus so I'm sure this won't help. Now I'm making a second order, not sure if I will continue to buy this brand in the future or not.
