We fried several American devices in Italy with this converter.
Do not use this converter. We burned three devices in Italy and the fuses in the hotel room blew. The gadgets fried were as follows: a hair dryer, an electric shaver, a sound machine, and what we think is an iPhone battery. The device plugs into sockets but does not change the voltage, which is obviously required for a 120 volt device, while Italian sockets put out over 200 volts. This device cost us a lot more than it cost and in our European photos I look like Grizzly Adams.
