I wanted a new pop container for my large cereal bags. On a quick search I saw these new products from OXO and said YES, this is exactly what I need. What a perfect time! Brief information to help: Small: 2.5 liters ___ Dimensions: 4" x 10.2" x 8.2" Medium: 3.4 liters ____________ 4.3" x 10.2" x 10, 5" Large: 4.5 liters ______________4" x 10" x 12.5" As you can see, the width and length don't really change with size, but the height does change about 2 inches at a time So measure your shelf if you want it to stand upright. I didn't care if my shelf was upright. I have 32 ounces (2 pounds) of cereal and 32 ounces (2 pounds) of oatmeal (e.g. Cheerio ) bought for "big containers". Both porridges were barely too big for a container. Maybe half a bowl is too much. Never mind. Just eat the extra if you use it lol. The seal on this one is more like one Leverage, similar to an alligator's mouth It opens nice and wide so if you have bigger stuff like mini wheat or whatever it comes out easily without worrying about them snagging on top n. It has a nice silicone O-ring that seals the flakes inside. The spout is nicely tapered so there is no mess in it. Things don't fly away while you're pouring. The caps are also interchangeable for all three sizes. I have medium sized hands and they fit my hand very well. Don't think it's just muesli. It is great for oatmeal, rice, flour and snacks. The plastic does not contain BPA. The only thing that bothers me is the plastic. It's a small thing, but it annoys me. Because it's plastic, it tends to generate static electricity, and the powder you'd typically find at the bottom of a cereal box will stick to the sides of the container. It's just a minor annoyance, but it's there. Some may not like that the container itself is NOT dishwasher safe. Everything is hand wash only except for the silicone ring which is dishwasher safe. I don't really care, but I know a lot of people who like the convenience of a dishwasher, so that should be taken into account. Overall, I like this product very much and I can only recommend it!
