I was in need of running shoes to replace my Brooks Launch 7s that had enough miles on them. A minor foot injury reminded me that getting a shoe with a bit more padding than the light and speedy Launch was probably a good idea, since I rarely race any more.I looked at the Nike Pegasus, but Nikes just don't fit my feet well. I'm sure they're fine shoes, just not for me. The Brooks Ghost 14s fit like a glove the first time I put them on, and are very comfortable to run in. And as a bonus, unlike many "training" shoes, they're light - almost the same weight as the less padded Launch. I certainly don't feel any extra weight as I run in them.
