This Wattstar butyl tape was just what I needed to seal the third brake light on my truck. It is easily fabricated and formed into any shape needed to create custom gaskets and adheres to mating surfaces to create a good watertight seal. I needed to fix a patch of rust on my third brake light on my truck and after sanding the rust off, priming and painting was left with a finish that looked a little different than stock rather than trying to double up the seals I decided to use this Wattstar butyl tape and it did a great job. it has been raining heavily for the last 2 weeks and no water is getting into the truck. A strip of coated paper that runs the full length of the tape, making it very easy to tear off the length you need and save the rest for another project without worrying about ending up with a stuck mess later have to deal with. Excellent sealing material, definitely recommended.
