Soft and snuggly but mostly polyester fill

We converted our little one into a double bed a while back but never got her a proper double duvet. Her crib blanket looks pretty silly on her full size crib so we finally decided to buy her a double duvet and duvet cover. This duvet cover has a 100% cotton cover which was a must for us. According to the label, the padding is 70% polyester with a touch of lyocell and over 50% of the content is recycled. The label also says it's 68 x 90 inches, but mine was closer to 66 x 88 inches. Be sure to check the size of your duvet to make sure it fits. The duvet is quilted which should help the filling stay in place. Even through the cover you can see that the filling is fluffy and textured, like batting for a patchwork quilt. (Think of a large sheet of stretched cotton balls.) It's fairly light and has good thickness for an all-season quilt. What I like best are the little loops in each corner. You can tie them to your duvet cover provided it has coordinating threads to keep the interlining from bunching at the end of the duvet cover. We have a lot of blankets in our house and these loops are a must. I would not recommend this duvet as a single duvet just because it looks like an insert. But the great thing about a duvet is that you can remove the outer cover to wash it yourself, extending the life of the inner duvet. I find the current price of $45.90 for a double size insert to be too high for such a "plain jane" insole. too much of. I would pay that price for a duvet, or maybe just cotton but not polyester fibers. I could pay the same for a full duvet or queen duvet of this type.
