Advantages:1. Cool design 2. Very unique, there aren't many things like that. The bad: 1. The paint they used to spray the aluminum has a little graininess. I see that long-term use will damage and erase your precious HT.2. Although this product was designed to be screwed directly onto a hard surface, it would be nice if the seller developed multiple mounting options for it to make it more versatile.3. I tried it with my baofeng and it didn't seem very stable to me - it slid a lot. (No docking points for it as it's not designed for that) In general it's fine if you use it with the intended HT. The radios listed in the product description are inexpensive and so you probably don't care that the finish material hits your back. Good design, need more versatility.
