I only buy Merrill shoes. I have 3 pairs in the same style. This particular pair is not up to the Merrill standard. This pair makes my legs hurt. I thought it might be the flimsy, unsupportive insoles so I went out and bought new insoles but that didn't help. I have a feeling maybe I got the wrong pair as I have never had a problem with any of the other 10+ Merrell pairs I have. I would return them if possible, but I wore them to "try" to break them. I am very disappointed in this pair and hope my next purchase will not cause the problems I had with them. $100 to $130 for shoes is fine as long as they are comfortable and don't hurt your feet. I'm not sure if it's too late to contact someone to ask for a discount on another pair or if we can find a solution. I am hesitant to order Merrill's in the future. Another thing I've noticed lately is that all the different types of insoles, including my wife's insoles, have become very flimsy when they were once very comfortable. Disappointed in Merrell.
