I was originally going to give this unit a star because it fell off after just a minute or so, but then I read what some of the other reviews said and followed the instructions. Turns out it was my fault for not getting up and not hooking. Initially I just attached it to the window without cleaning it and I wanted it to be high so it's over a little ledge in the glass. It did not work. After I cleaned the window and lowered it a little deeper to a completely smooth surface, it didn't move. The wreath that is hanging now is also quite heavy and a few nights ago we had a storm with high winds. The hook I used before would probably come loose. Not this one! Very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend. Just don't force post it like I did. Follow the instructions and you will be happy too.
