Review on 🚲 San Marco Aspide Supercomfort OpenFit Saddle by Jonathan Bennett

is that the one - Seats and saddles

Bicycle saddles are all the same – and all are different. I've been cycling for over 30 years and I still haven't found the mythical saddle that "disappears when you ride it". Pretty sure it doesn't exist. But that didn't stop me from trying. For many years I rode the Selle San Marco Regal, which received the highest praise from VeloNews technical editor Lennard Zinn in the late 1980s. Rides of 50-60 miles were comfortable. But as I got older I found I needed a notched saddle to reduce the constant pressure. After trying many PRO saddles, Fizik, Brooks, Prologo and others, I settled on the Selle Italia Gel Flite Max. At some point it got uncomfortable. So I decided to return to Selle San Marco for this Aspide Supercomfort Openfit. In many ways it resembles the old shelf, but with a raised neckline. After several long months of working in my forest, I'm back on my bike and using Zwift's indoor VR software. This Aspide is fairly comfortable for my soft butt with no constant pressure and a surface long enough to move back and forth as needed. And for climbing, the undulating platform offers a saddle end to push yourself onto. I expect the saddle to get even more comfortable as I put in more hours on the bike and will update this review at some point.
