UPDATE: This seat cover fits me so well I bought another one for my second car. The second car seat arrived with very minimal odor and was aired out in just a few days. I still love this car seat from all the others I've had. I agree with other reviewers that the smell is very strong upon arrival. I kept it in a spare room and sprayed a tasteless can of Lysol on it every few days. I ended up leaving it there for about 3 weeks before I felt comfortable putting it in my car. I rated it 4 stars because the initial smell is the only thing I don't like. I love that I can raise the sides and keep all 3 of my puppies on the floor of the car. I have mixed breeds that are 30lbs, 40lbs and 70lbs and all have no problem jumping in and out and staying in the containment area. I've had 3 others that snapped, fell apart somehow or just didn't work and this one is worth buying another for my second car so I don't move it back and forth. It's worth dealing with bad breath for a few weeks to have a long lasting product that does what I need it to do.
