A bit flimsy and pricey for two flimsy pieces of plastic, but functional as this Chromebook is VERY smooth and slippery and the textured "case" gives it a little "tooth" to hold on to can hold on There is little protection except from scratches. Other reviewers who said they couldn't open the Chromebook shouldn't "snap" it all the way, as I have no problem using it in any position as if it didn't even have a lid. Again, I would never pay $20 for two flimsy pieces of plastic, but I couldn't find another case that would compromise the extreme sleekness of this Chromebook.
