I ordered this because I need something to protect the outer case from scratches. It snaps on easily and feels stable when you put it on. I took a transparent film so I can stick some stickers underneath and let them show through. Now my decals don't scratch or wear out either. I didn't even attach them to the laptop, I just placed them where I wanted them to be easily removed later. I love the transparent case! Definitely worth buying!

I really like the body and color. Suitable for Acer Chromebook R13 Convertible. The only problem is that it folds up and converts from a tablet to a regular Chromebook. It keeps reappearing when the two parts (top and bottom) meet. It's like something is cracking, I've already broken a small piece of the connector, but it's nothing serious. The rest of the case is great. Not quite "protective" case, more decorative. I love it!

If you use your Chromebook a lot as a laptop rather than a tablet, this will work, but in tablet mode, no matter how well installed, it strains the hinges and forces slightly open to sit. So when it's sitting on your lap, the screen will bounce a bit as it pushes against the added plastic. A bit flimsy and pricey for two flimsy pieces of plastic, but functional as this Chromebook is VERY smooth and slippery and the textured "case" gives it a little "tooth" to hold on to can hold on There is little protection except from scratches. Protects my Chromebook from my girlfriend putting things on it without scratching the case. The rubber feet on the bottom keep it off the table easily and prevent it from slipping. The reports of fully opening and using it as a tablet are correct, but I was still able to open it fully, there's just a small gap, you don't want to force it. Removing the top cover solves this problem and the stress on the hinges is no higher than usual in tablet mode.

This item is a bit pricey as it is designed to "PROTECT" your laptop. You have to be very careful when attaching it to the laptop as the clips to hold it are not strong at all and one of mine broke off when I was squeezing it. In general you get a decent defender. Would I buy again? Probably no! I will spend more money for better protection.
