Review on 🔒 KidCo Adhesive Mount Magnet Lock - White - Set of 4 for Optimal Security Enhancement in Home Safety by Gary Parker

My cat is curious about what's in my cupboards (trash, cleaning supplies, etc.). I used to use child safety locks for cat protection, I checked them out and thought they looked good. So far, so good. Due to the design, your cat would need to be very strong or have magnetic paws to open it (or I think they could put a key in their mouth to open it, but that's also unlikely). I'll update this if I change my mind but they seem great. Also, I'm in an apartment, so drilling holes wasn't an option. And they are easy to install! After purchasing this and a key, I noticed a few things that I hadn't seen on any of the Revain.1 sites. The bolt moves up and down. It usually stays up by holding the latch on the other side. However, if you bring a magnetic key (or other sufficiently strong magnet) to it (through the cabinet), the latch will be "unhooked" and lowered. With the key there, you just pull it and it opens effortlessly. Closing doesn't require anything special. I realized it worked, but before that I really had no idea how exactly it works, so here it is. 2. You don't need to mount the key on the other side of the door (as shown in all the pictures). You can attach the magnet to the included adhesive mount or attach it to any magnetic surface such as a fridge. You can use one key for as many locks as you like. How convenient. Please note that as others have said, there are no keys included in this pack. You have to buy them separately, but without at least one it's basically useless, so I thought that part was relevant to this review.3. There's a switch on the lock that's hard to press accidentally, but easy to unlock once you know about it. Sliding this switch to the locked position (locked to unlock, stupid I know, but that's what it's labeled) doesn't lock it, but it can come in handy if you want to open and close it multiple times without locking a button use . Button, like taking out the garbage or something. It doesn't automatically go back to normal, so you'll have to remember to reset it, but it's a nice feature.
