I don't think it's silver baby
I started wearing them and after two days of use my earlobes became infected. I had to switch to 20 gram surgical steel horseshoes. Real silver has never caused infection in a fully healed piercing. I cleaned and disinfected them before use, so that's definitely not the problem.
