Bought these to protect against one of the most common winter sports injuries. Wrist injuries. I love it when Dakine goes without surf gear and gear and why not use the snow skirts? During my week in the Mammoth Mountains, I saw at least three wrist injuries from skiing and snowboarding accidents. One of those injuries involved multiple fractures to the visitor's right wrist. Medical expenses are expensive and ruin the trip. This pissed me off because I'm a pianist and performer and I need my hands to be as healthy as possible. It has saved me from so many falls, big and small, when descending a mountain and prevented potential fractures. Buy and store them for other sports like longboarding and skiing.
