Good for my use, but it takes some effort to open to attach.

In general, the goods are good, what I expected. Just wanted to explain a bit what I found when using it. I bought them to increase the size of the plastic D-rings on my bike backpack so the critical items (keys etc.) I have attached to the backpack are less likely to be lost in an accident. Plastic rings break somehow. D-rings are almost impossible to open without tools. It's good and perfect, at first I tried opening it with pliers and a wrench which worked, but the force required also damaged the surface causing small slivers of metal to be sheared off and now I have one in my thumb, that I have embedded can feel but not see to erase. It stopped hurting after a few hours, but be aware that this could be an issue (and why I deducted a star). So at the very least, I highly recommend wearing gloves when working on attaching it to something, or using tools that won't leave surface damage. I ended up just brute force opening the ring from the inside with pliers, inserting the pliers into the inner diameter of the ring and just pulling as hard as I could (you'll need large pliers (or similar tool) to give way) . maximum leverage), attach them to my backpack and then squeeze them back together with a wrench. They don't close completely, the other method above worked better in this regard, but at least there weren't any tiny splinters of metal or sharp edges that I could actually see anymore. the main pocket of my backpack to create a rudimentary latch for the pocket that has dueling zippers. I did this because I will end up taking my camera with me when I travel and need extra security. I'm sure I'll eventually add a proper lock to keep them together, but for now this bag only holds a couple of gloves.
