Better than I thought. I'm the kind of person who tests items before an emergency arises. They are much larger and stronger than the cheap rescue blankets for a few bucks. I tried tearing it up and poking holes in it. It was'nt easy. I was very impressed. Part 2 of my test, I gave it to a 6 year old and told him to go ahead. Survived with minimal damage. No additional cracks or anything like that. Very impressive. It's good to keep it in a bug bag or even in the car just in case.
