Terrible packaging - the perfect chair

As I said in my packaging review, the box looked like it survived a war. The only thing I've ever seen looked like a packet of cookies, gum and pretzels I bought in Vietnam in 1967. However, the content was fine. Took 15 minutes to assemble, looks good and works perfectly. The lying and sitting area was perfect, I quickly found my comfort zone. I'm 5'9" and work on a 35" bench and I'm very happy with what I do. I am well padded and the lumbar support is perfect for my height. It looks too pretty to be in my shop, but that's where it will stay. I have to agree with some reviews that it's difficult to buy a chair like this without sitting in it first and I had my skepticism. but for me it's ok. My only hesitation came when I got up from my chair for the first time. I pushed back the armrests and they arched a little. But then I'm not going to do chair push-ups, I'm going to do them at the gym. I suppose metal armrests would be stronger, but since I'm not the 250-pound max, which is the chair's recommended weight, I'm not worried about that. As for the footrest, the footrest is perfect for my height and the height I work at. May I recommend you? Yes! I would have no reason not to do it. It just suits me. But I am. If I were taller, shorter, or wider, my perspective might be different. If I had to tuck it under my desk, I'd go for a chair without armrests, but since I don't have one, I like to kick back, stretch, and stretch my arms out for a few minutes while I'm working. Update: I've been using this chair in my shop for over 2 years and it still works and looks like new. I even bring it into the kitchen sometimes when I'm canning and I have to keep an eye on the pressure gauge. Very happy!
